London, UK – Gerver Freedman, a leading commercial property letting company in London, celebrates the largest West End commercial property letting for over ten years. The 55 Baker Street office acquisition in London’s West End, is Gerver Freedman’s largest commercial property letting and was acquired on behalf of BDO Stoy Hayward. The property is the former office headquarters for Marks and Spencer and was acquired by London & Regional in 2005. The property will comprise 493,000 sq. ft. of offices, 42,192 sq. ft. of retail, 17,000 sq. ft. of leisure and 25,000 sq. ft. of residential, and is expected for completion by September 2007. The terms of the commercial property lease are confidential but are understood to be £40 per sq. ft. under a 20-year lease with more than two years rent free.
