EBAY SECURES SUCCESS FOR BIG GIRLS

Owner Jemma Smart, 28, originally worked as a buyer for a large, multi-national retail company in Manchester but became disillusioned by the lack of trendy clothing for larger women. Sensing a gap in the market, she resigned from her job, set up Big-Girls-Wardrobe from her home in Cheshire and commenced trading, using the high-profile eBay website. Demand was such that Jemma has recently achieved “Titanium PowerSeller” status, the highest eBay accolade, achieved by only a handful of other companies.“I’m thrilled by the instant success of Big-Girls-Wardrobe”, said Jemma. “Not just for myself, but also for other larger girls and women who for years have been unable to find funky or even just trendy outfits for various occasions. Some of my smaller friends now say they wish my clothes were made in their size!”
Jemma has a following of hundreds of regular customers and is in the process of developing her own website and putting together her opening collection of clothing, lingerie and accessories, in sizes 16-30+.
“For too long, full-figured women have had to rely on limited ranges of clothes from the bigger retail companies”, she explained. “Big-Girls-Wardrobe is all set to rock the boat and give us plus size women a chance to flaunt our curves!” Jemma’s current website can be found at www.stores.ebay.co.uk/Big-Girls-Wardrobe
