Former ATP Player Thomas Blake to Lead Houston Wranglers in the 2007 Season

Houston, TX – Houston Wranglers owners Jim and Linda McIngvale have announced that former ATP player, Thomas Blake, will lead the WTT team for the 2007 season that begins July 6th. Blake, who was a graduate of Harvard University went pro in 1996 and competed in the U.S. Open in 1999 and 2002. He has a younger brother, James Blake, who is currently ranked #6 in the ATP Champions Race. Blake will be the third coach of the WTT franchise. He hopes to improve the Wranglers record in 2007 and looks forward to working with the team which will be drafted at the SonyEricsson event in March. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to coach the Houston team and I am excited to be a part of the WTT.”
The 2007 Wranglers schedule features tennis superstar Anna Kournakova who will be coming to town to battle against Houston’s hometown team on July 8th.
