Houston,Texas — McGuyer Homebuilders, Inc. (MHI) recently announced the promotion of Mark Biddison to Division President of San Antonio. He will now oversee operations for the builder’s two signature brands within the market –– Coventry Homes and Plantation HomesMark will spearhead all aspects of MHI operations in San Antonio, including land acquisition and product development. The Texas builder anticipates a 30% growth increase in the San Antonio market during 2007.
A native San Antonian, Biddison began his career with MHI in 1993 as Construction Manager. He was the first locally hired employee in San Antonio. Biddison is a graduate of The University of Texas in San Antonio with a BBA in Construction Management.
Working his way up through the ranks, Biddison was promoted to Lead Construction Manager in 1996. Then in 1999, Biddison began serving as Project Manager, overseeing the sales and construction staff. In 2001, he acquired additional responsibilities overseeing land acquisition.
“I’m very excited about this opportunity to expand the San Antonio market,” stated Biddison. “We have a very solid team of employees, most with an average tenure of 8 years at MHI. These managers will be instrumental in getting us to the next level.”

Industry peers have recognized MHI with numerous accolades for product design, interior merchandising and marketing programs. Most recently, the Greater San Antonio Builders Association recognized Plantation Homes during the 2006 Summit Awards ceremony for Best Website and Best Radio Campaign.

In the coming months, MHI has plans to expand its roster of designs to include townhomes, garden homes and a specialty product geared toward retirement living. The introduction of its newest brand, Carmel Builders―an urban townhome collection, is also in the planning stages. Currently, MHI offers its designs in the San Antonio metro market, Boerne and New Braunfels.
