Vertilon Introduces PhotoniQ IQSP480 and IQSP482 Multi-Channel Data Acquisition Systems
March 08, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
Vertilon Corporation announced today that it has introduced two new products targeted at applications utilizing multi-anode photomultiplier tubes (MAPMT) and avalanche photodiode (APD) arrays. The PhotoniQ IQSP480 thirty-two channel and IQSP482 sixty-four channel data acquisition systems are designed for use with some of the most advanced multi-element optical sensors available today. Also known as charge acquisition systems, these high performance laboratory instruments achieve 96dB dynamic range at event rates exceeding 50,000 per second across 32 channels (IQSP480) and 25,000 per second across 64 channels. Event data is output through a high speed USB connection and can be displayed on a PC using an included graphical user interface or streamed to a user’s real-time custom software application. “With the introduction of these two PhotoniQ products, scientist and engineers will now have the ability to measure single photon resolution across multiple signal channels, “ said Vincent Palermo, President and Founder of Vertilon. “To date, this level of performance and functionality has not been found in off-the-shelf charge acquisition systems.” Vertilon also offers several compatible sensor interface boards for some of the more commonly available multi-anode photomultiplier tubes and avalanche photodiode arrays.
About Vertilon Corporation
Vertilon was founded with the aim of delivering advanced products to markets utilizing multi-anode photomultiplier tubes, avalanche photodiode arrays, and other multi-element charge-based sensors. Vertilon’s core product line is the PhotoniQ, a family of high performance multi-channel charge acquisition systems that interface to optical sensors and collect and process their output signals. Over the last seven years, Vertilon’s PhotoniQ products have been used by the country’s foremost universities, government laboratories, and corporate R&D groups.
