Dr. William K. Cors of Good Samaritan Hospital to Chair Prestigious Physician Conference

Suffern, N.Y. (March 8, 2007) –Dr. William K. Cors, MD, MMM, FACPE, Vice President of Medical Affairs at Good Samaritan Hospital, will Chair the prestigious World Research Group’s conference titled, “Optimizing the Role of the Physician Advisor,” on March 26-28, 2007 in Atlanta, GA. This World Research Group conference is an unparalleled event that will showcase specific strategies, proven solutions, and hospital-tested initiatives for improving medical management. The conference will feature unique insights and first-hand case studies from healthcare leaders such as the Children’s National Medical Center, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and Good Samaritan Hospital. Multidisciplinary panel discussions will focus on facilitating cooperation between disruptive physicians and hospital administration and in-depth case studies and strategies will be shared by a distinguished faculty that includes Dr. Cors from Good Samaritan Hospital.
Dr. Cors received his AB degree from the College of the Holy Cross (1971), an MD from New Jersey College of Medicine (1975) and an MMM from Tulane University (2003). Cors is a board certified neurologist and has been a fellow in the American College of Physician Executives since 1994, and was recently named to the Board of Directors of that prestigious professional medical organization. As a Clinical Associate Professor Neurology at UMDNJ: Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Dr. Cors has lectured extensively on issues of patient safety, medical quality, clinical outcomes initiatives and crisis communication.
In his current role as Vice President of Medical Affairs at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dr. Cors oversees all aspects of clinical care at the 370-bed regional medical center.
