Temecula, CA – March 2007 – Wood Resource Recovery, LLC, a Florida based wood and yard waste recycling company that handles storm recovery and debris needs, purchased the Storm Tracker software last year from Visual Records and has already used the software to track and manage their storm clean up tickets on two ice storm clean up projects. The first ice storm was in Buffalo, New York in October, 2006. The storm damaged approximately 90% of the city’s trees and left approximately 300,000 households without power. Power lines, trees and branches were brought down by the heavy snowfall.
The second ice storm was in Neosho, Missouri in January, 2007, where the storm also struck Springfield to St. Louis and trees were extensively damaged from the weight of the ice on their sagging branches. The storm system left about 200,000 households in the state with no power.
Based on the positive experiences with using the software for these two storms, the management at Wood Resource Recovery, LLC has realized that purchasing Storm Tracker was one of their “best investments in a while.”
Not only does the software help clients such as Wood Resource Recovery, LLC, who are responsible for the storm clean ups, but the people they work with during the process such as the Contractor, City, County and FEMA. Faye Gaston, CFO of Wood Resource Recovery, LLC, stated that “FEMA complimented the City of Lancaster (their Buffalo client) on their organization and documentation.”
