Persha International, Inc., the North American Distributor for the TAC-3000 Tower Crane Anti-Collision, Zone, and Boundary Protection System, announced today that sales for 2007 have already tripled from sales in 2006. The TAC-3000 was introduced to the United States in June of 2006 at a four tower crane site in St. Louis, Missouri. Since then, the TAC-3000 has been installed on some of the largest commercial projects across the country, and its success is growing exponentially. Kendall Strysick, President of Persha International, is very excited about the growth. “We had a lot of obstacles to overcome when we first introduced the TAC-3000 to the U.S. market. Many construction companies had previously used other anti-collision systems that failed to function as promised, resulting in systems being installed and then bypassed by operators because they were too difficult to use. Long installation time also downed cranes for days, severely impacting production. Construction companies were tired of investing in antiquated technology that did not operate as promised.”
The TAC-3000 works off of the Earth’s Magnetic Flux, providing the crane’s movements in real time. Installation on most Tower Cranes can be completed in 4-8 hours and can be used on Hammerhead and Luffing Cranes. Zone and boundary protection features are wirelessly uploaded to the cranes from the ground, taking only minutes. The flexibility is hailed as one of the TAC-3000’s greatest features. Kendall Strysick reinforces the need for a system to be adaptable to varying job sites. “Construction sites are always changing. If companies need to reorganize their pick zones, jump the crane to new heights, or add additional zone protection, the TAC-3000 can accommodate these changes in minutes.”
Persha International will be debuting the TAC-3000 in Canada this year. “We are facing the same obstacles that we faced in the United States. Construction companies in Canada also had a detrimental experience with other anti-collision systems. Some systems, because of the complexity of their installs, were left unfinished. It really tainted the market.” Despite facing the same obstacles, Kendall Strysick is confident that the trust of the Canadian companies will be easier to overcome. “We have an uptime of 100% due to a zero rate of component failure. The TAC-3000 works as promised, and the list of references and testimonials just keeps growing.”
Persha International maintains that the marketing strategy is a simple one. “We are providing a valuable safety tool that protects the safety of job sites and the public. The price of the TAC-3000 is competitive with other systems, and the cost for the system is far less than the cost of accidents. The technology is simply the best available.” While the TAC-3000 was recently introduced to the North American market, the system has been protecting job sites in Singapore for four years, and has a firm base in South Korea, where laws mandating Tower Crane Safety are stricter than the United States. The TAC-3000 was recently chosen to protect a newly constructed residential building project in Seoul, Korea, where twenty-two tower cranes are working in tandem. Mr. Stysick adds, “The TAC-3000 allows all twenty-two tower cranes to work safely and efficiently through wireless communication. The competitor’s system can only accommodate five towers wirelessly. The complexity of the site is awesome. Viewing the cranes as they work is awe inspiring and makes you appreciate the absolute elegance of the technology.”
Kendall Strysick adds that the most evident measure of the TAC-3000’s success became apparent very recently. “Persha International survived its first attempt at a hostile takeover. One of our competitor’s distributors in North America flew around the world to the manufacturer, e-Build Innovations, in Singapore to try and convince them to give them the TAC-3000 distributorship. They were willing to give up their current product in favor of the TAC-3000. Fortunately, it was a wasted trip. Persha and e-Build share a common vision for the TAC-3000 and a loyalty not found in business today. I view the takeover attempt as very positive. It means that the TAC-3000 is generating awareness and finding a solid foundation in the industry. It is a true measure of success when the competition is worried.”
