Excel Software Announces Safe Activation Service - Online Activation of Macintosh and Windows Applications

Excel Software is pleased to announce the immediate availability of the Safe Activation service for online license activation, registration and management of customer data. Safe Activation is used in conjunction with QuickLicense for secure, flexible licensing of Macintosh and Windows content. In addition to trialware and traditional software applications, the system can be used for other types of content including Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Photoshop plugins and Adobe Director multimedia content.

Safe Activation is an online service where vendors can securely log into their account and enter product information. Information in the vendor’s account is used to present a web page for product activations. When the vendor’s product is initially installed or launched, the activation web page allows customers to register the product and receive an instant Activation Code that enables and manages the software license.

The Safe Activation service is convenient for both vendors and customers. A Vendor account makes it easy to customize and manage the activation of any number of products or licenses with no web site programming needed. The vendor has Internet access to product and customer information any time from anywhere in the world. Customers can instantly register and activate products or trialware. No Internet connection is required to use or protect an activated license.

A vendor can assign Serial Numbers to products that control how many computer activations are allowed for each license. Activation pages can be customized to collect any customer information required, add a company logo, formatting options and web site links. Activation pages can be presented directly on the vendor’s web site, although no web site is required. Vendors can view, search and retrieve customer and license information for products, leased content or trialware from any web browser. Vendor’s can backup and restore their account information and upload or download account data to their computer.

The Safe Activation service and monthly price is scaleable and cost effective to fit very small and very large organizations. There are no per product or per license charges, just a monthly fee based on the selected plan that starts at just $40 per month. Each plan determines the maximum number of allowed Products, Custom Forms, Serial Numbers and Customers in the Vendor account. No long-term commitment is required, so the vendor can close the account or upgrade to a larger plan at any time.
