BigMachines Achieves Record Growth in 2006

BigMachines, Inc., the leading provider of on-demand configuration and quoting software, achieved a record 2006 with a 59% growth in contract bookings and 79% jump in customers over 2005. In addition, the company launched two major product releases, adding new capabilities to a best-of-breed software solution to help companies streamline and simplify complex front-end sales processes - from inquiry-to-order.BigMachines new customers serve a broad variety of markets including software, medical instruments, life sciences, web hosting, and industrial products. Customers added in 2006 include divisions of global leaders NTT, Emerson, ThermoFisher Scientific, Teradyne, and Kubota Tractor.
To support this growth, BigMachines grew its staff by 33% across all areas, and expanded product development capacity with an offshore development partner in India. BigMachines has also added to their management team. Mei-Lin Cheng was hired to lead their west coast Professional Services team after 25 years in various roles with Hewlett Packard, including CIO of HP's imaging business. Greg Swender joined to lead BigMachines' marketing efforts, coming from Dell's corporate OEM business and Accenture.
