February 28, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
San Francisco, CA - Booth # 5512 NH - February 2007 – iZ3D, LLC, a US-based 3D technology development and marketing company will be hosting a 3D Gaming Tournament at the upcoming Game Developers Conference at the Moscone Center in San Francisco on March 5-9, 2007. The company will have six gaming stations available in its Booth # 5512 NH in the North Hall, and participants will be able to immerse themselves in a true stereoscopic 3D gaming experience, have a lot of fun, and be eligible to win an assortment of prizes.

Stereoscopic 3D is the latest exciting technology in the gaming industry. iZ3D’s 22inch monitor takes ordinarily flat games, and turns them into thrilling three dimensional experiences by making characters and effects blast out of the screen! This technology brings a level of immersion not possible on a traditional monitor.

“Our monitors have been receiving positive reviews for some time, and we want this conference to be about the game developers. Come to our booth and watch the faces of the tournament players. See how our technology WOWifies your games, and learn how to make sure your future releases stay competitive by being ready for this new wave of gaming excitement,” said David Chechelashvilli, Vice President of Marketing for iZ3D LLC.

“Stereoscopic 3D monitors aren’t niche market products anymore. Our newly formed joint venture with Chi Mei (CMO) combines our superior iZ3D technology and marketing capabilities with CMO’s leading manufacturing techniques and worldwide distribution presence. When you see what our new 22inch monitor can do, and how your gamers’ eyes will widen, you will be equally wowed by our product’s modest price,” continued Chechelashvili.

The tournament will be showcasing the first iZ3D, LLC product, a 22inch widescreen 3D monitor. The new advanced video monitor displays impressive inside and outside the screen 3D images with the help of comfortable polarized glasses. It is designed to completely replace traditional monitors by equally offering commercial image quality and display brightness for non-gaming purposes.

Unlike other stereoscopic 3D solutions, it is rare for players to experience eyestrain, spatial disorientation, headache, and nausea while using the iZ3D monitor.

The unit is powered by any current personal computer with a dual output video card.

Specifications include 1680 x 1050 resolution, up to 120-degree viewing angle, 5 ms response time, and 800:1 contrast ratio with the same brightness as commercial monitors. It also has dual interface capability with DVI and DVI/VGA inputs.

The initial iZ3D, LLC product will begin shipping in May, with deeply discounted pre-orders available through the iZ3D website.

Experts will be on-hand to demonstrate proper programming techniques, and additional efforts are in the works to educate the industry on how to get the most out of stereoscopic 3D technologies to better their competitive advantage.
