Sheer-Animation offers fresh perspective

SAN FRANCISCO – A new company has broken onto the film animation scene, a product of tired storylines and predictable outcomes.

Sheer-Animation has been organized by a group of friends who are frustrated with the lack of creativity in animation today. The company’s goal is to fill a void left by major animation distributors who put more stock in special effects than original, inventive storylines.

By basing its plots on real-world storylines, Sheer-Animation promises to give viewers a more challenging, entertaining movie watching experience. The company plans to target the mature 18 and up audience.

“We’re breaking away from the traditional mold of American animation,” E. Lee Casenas, producer, said. “It’s not for kids. It’s where Nemo, Bambi and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer can be shot, killed or massacred.”

Production is currently underway on Sheer-Animation’s first full-length feature film. No release date has been set. For the time being, the company is focusing on traditional production styles, but may venture into 3D animation on future projects.

Sheer-Animation was founded in November 2006 by a group of friends who believe animation fans deserved more modern and challenging films. The company’s goal is to impress with less flash and more substance, giving people a more exciting and fulfilling viewing experience.
