Girls and women need opportunities to gather, educate themselves, and heal together. In April and May, 2007, Dr. Pam Chubbuck will be conducting a series of two workshops dedicated to the idea of empowering girls and women to grow into their best selves. The focus of the workshops came from Dr. Chubbuck's latest book, "Passages Into Womanhood: Empowering Girls to Love Themselves".On Saturday, April 14th, Pam Chubbuck will help women with the workshop entitled "Passages Into Womanhood: Embodying the Healing Power of the Feminine". Lasting from 10 am to 6 pm, this workshop is open to all women who wish to explore their discomforts that keep them from their full potential for joy in their lives. During this workshop, women will share their stories and beging to break the bonds that have kept them shy, co-dependant, cut off, rigid, sad, and angry. They will also work with their bodies and discover their true sexual potential.
Pam says, "To be fully alive we must allow healing love to enter deeply into us and transform those places where we have become wounded within ourselves and in our relationships with our mothers, fathers, sisters, and grandmothers. We will work with our bodies, share stories, sweat, laugh, cry, and begin to break old patterns that hold us back from being the alive women we are….If you are raising a daughter — doing your own work will benefit her as well. You must be a role model who loves your whole self in order to best assist her."
"Passages Into Womanhood: Empowering Girls to Love Themselves" will be a two day workshop occurring on the weekend of May 5th and 6th, 2007. Girls, Mothers, Grandmothers, Mentors, Young Women, Maidens and Daughters are invited to share, exercise, become educated, create, experience ceremeony, and participate in ritual. Grounded in practical information, soaring with connection to Spirit, these two days are designed to give women and the girls they love, time to find and celebrate their deep female selves.
On Saturday of this 2 day workshop, the group of women will begin an ancient traditional process of sharing, teaching, and creating. Interwoven with talking, laughing, movement, drawing and originating, they will honor and enjoy their deep sacred feminine. On Sunday, they will continue this process, culminating in creating and experiencing a ritual for all participants, especially honoring the young maidens who have begun their bleeding time. Pam says, "This is an opportunity to spend two full days with me and a group of women who wish to celebrate womanhood. Join us!"
