New RMS-5283X Dual Processor Rackmount Server

City of Industry, CA (April 15, 2005) – Broadax Systems Inc. has just added a new unit to their Rackmount Server line, it is the RMS-5283X. It is a 2U low profile Rackmount Server built around a Dual Processor Board that support up to 2 Intel Xeon Processors and 16GB of memory. The RMS-5283X offers great flexibility for industrial control and server applications. This unit offers three open PCI slots that are ready to accept any PCI expansion card. There are two 5.25 and one 3.5 externally accessible Drive Bays. There is also four 3.5" hot-swappable drive bays supporting IDE/PATA, SATA, or SCSI 320.

The RMS-5283X is all about High Performance, from having 2 Intel Pentium Xeon, 3.4GHZ Processors, your choice of either EIDE or SCSI Hard Drives and 16GB of RAM. EIDE Hard Drives range from 40GB to 250GB while SCSI Hard Drives range from 36GB to 144GB. There is also an optional SATA hard disk drive, up to 450GB and an optional integrated SATA RAID controller. Three different types of motherboards are offered for this unit. There are four options of Graphic Controllers that can be used, starting from 128MB to 256MB. The Memory used is Kingston; it comes complete with Hi-Pro RAM Cooler to reduce heat and increase performance.

The standard RMS-5283X comes complete with one Intel Xeon 2.4GHz (533 FSB), 40GB EIDE Hard Drive and 256MB DDR Memory. Also the Motherboard offers an Integrated 8MB ATI Rage XL Display Controller, Gigabyte LAN and 5 USB ports, 2 fast UART 16550 serial ports and 1 parallel port. A 52X CD-ROM and a 1.44 Floppy Drive is also standard. The Power Supply is a 2U Active PFC and is rated at 400W and is an ATX Form Factor.

Optional configurations to the RMS-5283X consist of adding a 3-slot Raiser card for PCI expansion cards. If you would like added security you can opt for the metal frame Removable Hard Drive Kit. If you require a PCI 56K V.90 Fax Modem or a sound card, that can be accommodated. You can also choose from over 15 different Operating Systems and a variety of accessories, like numerous different LCD keyboard drawers, System Slide for mounting in a rack or cabinet and also many divers software. The RMS-5283X is approximately 40lbs fully assembled. The dimensions of this unit are 19"(W) x 3.5"(H) x 25.6"(D)
