Bethesda Marriott Hotel Completes $12 Million Refurbishment & Introduces Agio Restaurant

Bethesda, Maryland — The Bethesda Marriott Hotel on Pooks Hill Road, located minutes from Washington DC, has completed a $12 million renovation project. According to Amani Roberts, Director of Sales & Marketing for the hotel, the extensive hotel refurbishment project took a total of 18 months to complete and involved all guest rooms and most public areas.

The Newest Guest Rooms in the Bethesda Area:
The hotel has completely renovated its 399 guest rooms and 8 suites for maximum comfort and to provide a stylish, sleek new design.

All of the Bethesda hotel’s guestrooms feature Marriott's new, more luxurious bedding with plusher mattresses, softer linens, and more pillows. Replacing the traditional hotel bedspread is a down comforter nestled inside sheeted duvets, which will be freshly laundered for each new guest. The stylized bedding features 300- thread-count, cotton-rich, white top and fitted bottom sheets and is accented with euro shams, a decorative bed scarf, and bolster. Other in-room amenities include a workspace with ergonomic desk and chair, high-speed wireless Internet access, telephone with data port and speaker phone, coffee maker, iron with ironing board, and cable TV with premium channels.

Additionally, the eight hotel suites feature new furnishings including 42" flat screen televisions in the living areas.

Introducing Restaurant Agio:
One of the most exciting additions to the Bethesda Marriott and dining in Bethesda, Maryland is the addition of Agio, a casual, contemporary, Italian restaurant and bar serving authentic, regional Italian cuisine.

Guests will be drawn in by the welcoming atmosphere of this Bethesda Restaurant which includes a brushed stainless steel bar, a granite communal high top dining table, hardwood floors, focused lighting, and a semi-private dining area which can be closed off for private parties for up to 40 guests.

Agio serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Signature items at this Bethesda restaurant include calamari, garlic bread with tomato and ricotta fondue, osso bucco, spaghetti alla carbonara, citrus and herb roasted half chicken, tiramisu, and lemon semi freddo.

A New Look To The Bethesda Hotel's Meeting & Event Space:
The hotel's 4,592-square-foot Grand Ballroom (seating capacity of 400) and the Maryland and Kenwood suites have also been completely renovated at a cost of $1 million. The meeting and event space has been designed to enhance the experience for both weddings and corporate events and includes the addition of a state-of-the-art audio-visual system and new floor and wall coverings in an engaging color scheme which runs throughout the foyer and ballroom.
