Phil Mickelson wins at Pebble Beach coincides with Artist McKenzie Painting Release

Pebble Beach, California-Phil Mickelson, won Sunday with a 6-under 66 to tie the tournament record at the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am and win by five shots for the 30th victory of his career. Mickelson overcame a double bogey with a lost ball early in the round with three birdies in a four-hole stretch along the ocean, turning a tight race into another runaway. He matched the largest margin of victory at this tournament, winning by five shots over Kevin Sutherland.“This is exciting,” Mickelson said. “I’ve gotten off to a good start. It gives me momentum, and I can’t wait for next week and the upcoming majors. I’m really excited about the year.”
Mickelson’s win coincides with the Public release of Award-winning Artist McKenzie’s newest original painting, called “Lefty”. McKenzie is known for her golf series of paintings and her dedication to charitable causes. “Every painting that I create, I am motivated by the thought that it will bring funds and awareness to help others less fortunate. The ability to give through my art is the passion that fuels my creativity,” says the artist McKenzie.
McKenzie is the recent winner of the ARTV Fine Art Awards for Mixed Media. She is an Internationally acclaimed Los Angeles based artist. Her unique style of painting coined, “Alluvios Chromatism” have been featured in galleries and exhibitions around the world. Her artwork is the focus of a television documentary in pre-production, hardcover books, and the inspiration behind a new charitable organization Healing through Art.
McKenzie has dedicated her life to charitable giving and through her art has raised awareness and tens of thousands of dollars for causes close to her heart.
