New PMS-7115 Rugged Panel PC

City of Industry, CA (April 14, 2005) – Broadax Systems Inc. today has announced
a new line of Panel PCs, these are the Rugged Panel PCs. What separates this Rugged Panel PC from the Industrial Panel PCs is that it has a NEMA 4, IP66 front sealed bezel, Uses an enhanced Infrared Touch screen so it is immune to cuts, scratches, gouges and wear. The front bezel is sealed from water and dust; this makes it optimal for use in harsh environments. The Touch Screen of the PMS-7115 can be used with a stylus, while wearing gloves or with bare hands.
This allows for the user to have greater flexibility when inputting data. The PMS-7115 also gives you the choice of having a Powder Coated or Stainless Steel Bezel.

The PMS-7115 comes standard with a 15” TFT 1024 x 768 XGA LCD Display. There is an 18” version of this unit, which is the PMS-7118. Also this Rugged Panel PC is able to accommodate a maximum of 512MB of DDR Memory and an 80GB 3.5” Hard Drive. The Display Controller is integrated on the motherboard, with a total of 32MB. Processing power comes from a Pentium 4 2.0 GHz CPU. To add greater flexibility, the PMS-7115 offers 2 USB Ports, 2 16550 Serial Ports, 6 PCI and 1 AGP Slot for peripherals as well as extra system and controller cards. The Rugged Panel PC also comes equipped with a CD-ROM Drive, Floppy Drive, Built-in
10/100BT Ethernet and an Auto Switching 100-240VAV input Power Supply.

Other options and accessories that are available for the PMS-7115 are a Water Resistant Keyboard, Logitech or Microsoft Mice and diverse software ranging from Microsoft Office XP 2002 Professional to PC Anywhere.

The PMS-7115 starts as low as $5,635 with an Intel Pentium-4 2.0 GHz Processor, 256MB DDR Memory, 32-bit Display Controller, 15.1 XGA LCD Display Touch Screen, 40 Gigabyte Hard Drive, Integrated 10/100M Bit Ethernet LAN, 1.44MB FDD, 52X CD-ROM, Auto Switching 100-240VAV input Power Supply and Windows 2000 Professional. Prices vary with additional drives and other options.
