Audiobook Retailer Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Talking Book World improves commutes for thousands of motorists all over the Greater Toronto Area in Canada. And 2007 marks the audiobook retailer's 10th anniversary. Its first store opened on November 30, 1997 at 386 Sheppard Avenue, just west of Bayview in Willowdale. The Downsview location at 3338 Dufferin Street across from Yorkdale Mall opened shortly after. These were followed by stores at 2100 Hurontario Street in Mississauga and 8555 Woodbine Avenue in Markham.

Halton, Peel, York and Durham have exploded in recent years. Mississauga, Vaughan, Richmond Hill and Markham have grown especially fast, attracting thousands of residents with more space, more privacy, more parking.
