BOULDER, CO – TechStars will choose ten teams of entrepreneurs to develop their ideas with the best and brightest business advisors, and receive up to $15,000 in initial investment to survive an intensive summer of learning and prototype development in start-up hotbed Boulder, Colorado.

Applications are being accepted and reviewed – no business plan required, just 28 questions to answer before the March 31, 2007 deadline.

Looking for innovative ways to give back to their community and promote entrepreneurism in Colorado, TechStars was founded by several of the region’s most prominent entrepreneurs: David Cohen, David Brown, Brad Feld and Jared Polis. The winning applicants will have access to everything from office space to technical, operational, financial, marketing, sales and legal advice from the best entrepreneurial minds in the country.

“I wish I had this kind of advice and support when I started my first company,” said TechStars Executive Director Cohen, founder of several technology start-ups. “My passion for Colorado, and for filling the knowledge and connections gap for very early stage ideas before they can attract investors, is what drives my support for TechStars.”

“The educational aspects of TechStars are potentially life-changing,” said Feld, Managing Director, Foundry Group. “With the ecosystem of technology, research, capital and people here in Boulder, the TechStars experience will be of tremendous value to the next generation of entrepreneurs.”

Sponsors and supporters include CTEK, CTEK Angels, Cooley Godward Kronish, ViaWest, Metzger Associates, the University of Colorado, Colorado State University, Denver University and a host of coaches and speakers lined up for a summer of intensive education, networking and mentorship.
