Abbey Business Centres, the UK-based serviced office provider has announced that it’s prestigious 30 St Mary Axe location has reached 95% occupancy, less than 12 months after launching. The most recent deal with top US legal firm Heller Ehrman LLP completes a stunning year for the serviced office operator.
Jason Mayhead, Abbey’s Sales Manager commented: “Our aim was to reach 65% occupancy by the start of 2007 and so we are obviously delighted to have smashed targets. The cyclical nature of serviced office agreements means that 5-10% of space will usually be available. This enables new tenants to move-in or existing clients to expand without having to move-out.”
Abbey Business Centres launched 28,000 sq ft of fully serviced office space across the 28th and 29th floors last April.
Abbey’s current office tenants include a range of Legal and Financial firms, Head Hunters and Hedge Fund owners.
The fully furnished office suites are offered on flexible agreements and range in size from 8 desks through to 50. The centre has it’s own reception with a fully staffed team to welcome guests and answer telephone calls.
Julie Calder, Managing Director of Abbey Business Centres commented: ‘With only one floor of 30 St Mary Axe (16,500 sq ft) available on traditional terms, Abbey really is proud to offer flexible access to such an exceptional and iconic building in the City. Our client base is extremely diverse illustrating the importance of serviced offices to businesses of all sizes and across all industries”.
