Cincinnati, OH — Cincy Chic (www.cincychic.com) launches today, marking the first online lifestyle publication for women in the Greater Cincinnati area. To be transitioned into a weekly by April, the new publication is designed to help women improve their personal, professional and social lives. Cincy Chic offers in-depth features, forums, blogs, a social networking service, an event calendar and editorial departments covering topics in five key areas: health, beauty, fashion, social and career. Featured local celebrity columnists include: Pete Scalia, WLWT’s traffic reporter, in an “Ask Him” Q&A column, and Rocco Castellano, of askROCCO Media fame, in an “askROCCO” fitness Q&A column.
Other columnists include: publisher, Amy Storer, in an “Ask the Editor” column; associate editor, Carolyn Martinez, in a “This Crazy Love Life of Mine” column; and assistant editor, Veronica Rolfes, in a “Room to Improve” blog where she documents the struggles she’s experiencing with losing weight, living healthier, cosmetic alterations and smoking cessation.
As it is a lifestyle magazine, targeting women age 22 to 49, Cincy Chic will frequently host ladies nights, self-improvement sessions, women’s health “lunch and learns” and networking events at various venues in Greater Cincinnati.
Distribution ranges from Florence to West Chester to Lawrenceburg. There are plans to expand the “Chic” title to other mid-sized markets across the nation. A year’s general subscription is free, and a VIP subscription – which provides free cover at Cincy Chic events, discounts at a number of local vendors and many other benefits – costs $10.
