Rosen Law Firm’s Life Transition Coach Shares Easy Tips For Valentine’s Day
February 10, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Lifestyle News
Valentine’s Day is an emotionally charged holiday in which relationships can renew or sometimes break down. Jennifer Coleman, Rosen Law Firm’s Life Transition Coach and a National Certified Counselor, has some easy tips on ways to show you care this Valentine’s Day: 1. Don’t forget about the holiday completely or you’re basically telling your sweetheart ‘I don’t care’.
2. Don’t pick up something cheap at a gas station because it was
fast and convenient. If you’re going to buy your loved one a gift, be thoughtful and sincere.
3. Remember and acknowledge that marking your milestones as a couple is important.
4. Valentine’s Day gifts don’t have to be flowers, candies, or expensive jewelry. It can be about making your sweetheart’s favorite dinner or watching a movie that you both like together. Choose a gesture that involves what you have come to know about each other over time.
5. Celebrating this holiday doesn’t have to cost money, if that’s what you both decide. Instead, give your loved one a gift certificate for services redeemable by you. This could involve a massage or even washing their car.
6. If you’re going to exchange gifts, set a spending limit so that one person doesn’t feel like they received something less. Make it equal.
7. Tell your sweetheart things you appreciate most about them and the time you’ve spent together over the years.
8. If you can, hire a baby-sitter. Don’t use the kids as an excuse to why you can’t do something together as a couple.
9. Work within your budget. Don’t go into debt celebrating Valentine’s Day; rather do something special you can afford.
10. Don’t worry about making it the perfect Valentine’s Day. Just have fun with the person you love the most.
