Among the hand-picked lots that will sell to the highest bidder are stained and decorative windows from the collection of H. Weber Wilson, author of Great Glass In American Architecture, and vintage plumbing items selected by Jill Wilson, contributing author to Details, published by Gibbs-Smith in October of 2006. Also up for auction will be a choice selection of garden ornaments, statuary, and urns; terra cotta, cast iron and marble; and many lots of antique tiles for collectors and restoration projects.
Some special mention items include a bronze bubbler fountain from the GE Building in New York, a stained glass fragment from John LaFarge, a massive cast iron fire back, huge granite gate post tops from a Newport mansion, a 10’ oak and milk glass Country Store dairy case, a zinc and bronze grotto sculpture, several sets of desirable doors, and a quality selection of antique lighting.
Additionally this auction will feature more than a dozen vintage Trade Catalogs and Web Wilson will also be consigning a hand-picked selection of mansion quality builders’ hardware including an MCCC lion and several fine 19th Century millifiore paperweight doorknobs.
