New: Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): .NET 2.0
The latest course to be introduced by Training Camp is Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): .NET 2.0. This highly interactive 11-day developer class is designed to teach Web, Windows, and Distributed Application Developers how to build interactive, data-driven middle-tier and client applications targeting the Windows Forms platform using the .NET Framework 2.0. Students also learn to produce intranet and Internet Web applications that use ASP.NET 2.0 and develop business and data layer applications. Uniquely, the course includes three certifications for Web development, Windows development, and enterprise application development.
Three other Training Camp courses have been updated. These include:
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer 2003 (MCSE): Security, Security+ Training Camp
This 14-day accelerated Training Camp provides information technology (IT) professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure, support, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 2000- and 2003-based networks with a focus on information security in the enterprise. During the program, students achieve the following certifications: Microsoft Certified Profession (MCP), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator and Engineer: Security.
CompTIA A+ Training Camp
This 7-day accelerated course provides IT professionals with the basic hardware, software, and networking skills necessary to be successful in a variety of IT positions. Depending on the student's job role, they can choose from three different A+ certifications.
"Pass rates for this course are phenomenal – currently at 125 percent," said Dave Minutella, Vice President of Educational Services. "This is because students typically pass the core exam and one elective track, but we've had a number of students take and pass additional tracks." Training Camp attributes this level of success to excellent instructors, courseware methodology, and keeping students engaged in the classroom.
Cisco® CCNP Training Camp
This 13-day accelerated course provides Cisco IT professionals with the advanced knowledge and skills necessary to support Cisco-based networks. This is a performance-based course based upon the job-related tasks an advanced professional must perform including building a scalable routed network, building campus networks using multilayer switching technologies and improving traffic flow, reliability, redundancy, and performance for campus LANs, routed and switched WANs, and remote access networks.
"Because Training Camp's instructors help with curriculum development, this ensures the highest quality instruction for our students," said Dave Minutella. "What's more, at Training Camp knowledge transfer is tied to exam objectives as well as a student's vocation. As a result, attendees learn more in less time."
