Local artist and photographer Stephen Evans is currently working on a black and white photo essay of the Roanoke Valley. Visitors to RoanokeRapidsLife.com can preview some of the local photos by Stephen Evans in the site’s photo gallery.

The Stephen Evans Online Gallery includes local photography from events such as WZRU's and the Centre’s Acoustic Jam and scenes from around the Roanoke Valley. RoanokeRapidsLife.com will also present an exclusive Stephen Evans photo gallery of the Centre’s Mardi Gras Gala event.

Stephen Evans, a local artist, has been doing freelance work for about 15 years. He used to live in Virginia where he ran a photo studio. Now, in Roanoke Rapids, he continues his work in photography, painting and graphic design.

Stephen Evans has been a graphic designer and photographer for 17 years. Raised in Roanoke Rapids, Stephen Evans has been very active in the Roanoke Valley Arts Community. As a professional photographer, he uses his expertise to photograph weddings, children, family portraits, family reunions and many other special events.

Lately, Stephen has been leaning more towards artistic photography and manipulation. However, he is also a painter and works with solid graphic design. He will also be featured in the Halifax Arts Council’s Sip and See event.
