"Want to get between the sheets of a sexy trade paperback but don't have the time?" asks Jina Bacarr, author of The Blonde Geisha and coming in July 2007, Naughty Paris. "Then audio books are for you."

In her latest podcast, "Talk Dirty to Me: Spice Books Go Audio," she discusses the launch of Spice Audio Books, erotic fiction novels from eHarlequin.com and Audible.com now available for download.

Audio books are more popular than ever. Nearly one in four Americans or 24.6 percent have listened to an audio book in the past year, according to the Audio Publishers Association (APA). In an independent survey conducted by the firm of Lewis & Clark Research in the summer of 2006, data showed that the audio book market is estimated at $871 million, a 4.7 percent increase from the previous year.

In the age of digital storytelling, it was only a matter of time before erotic fiction entered the burgeoning market.

"In 2007, 'talk dirty to me' takes on new meaning as more women discover the ease and affordability of listening to erotic novels on their iPods and computers," says Bacarr, who demonstrates in her video podcast how audio books are great for multi-tasking. "You can listen anywhere, anytime," she continues, "whether you're sipping a latte at lunchtime, commuting to your job, or cleaning up around the house. No one knows what you're listening to but you."

Spice Audio Books offer a variety of books for download: "The Blonde Geisha" by Jina Bacarr and "Dirty" by Megan Hart are now available with the release of "Tease" by Suzanne Forster in March.
"Spice Books from eHarlequin.com and Audible.com offer the listener a unique experience," says Bacarr. "Sexy, classy, and sophisticated."
