Intellias takes part in "Business Intelligence - Next Generation" seminar

The seminar "Business Intelligence – Next Generation", held by Actinium Consulting GmbH and Microsoft Österreich on November 23, 2006 aimed to provide its participants with most up-to-date information on current trends and attractive product offerings in Business Intelligence sphere. The event embodied three main sections and a round table discussion followed by networking agenda. The first section opened by Dr.-Ing. Gregor Zeiler, CEO of actinium consulting GmbH, provided valuable insights on actual tendencies and developments in business intelligence field. In short, the speaker has emphasized the role of business intelligence instruments in increasing the profitability, minimization of risks and building competitive advantages. Also, Mr. Zeiler informed the audience on the spectrum of actinium business intelligence products for analysis, reporting, planning and data warehousing.The second section featured the presentation by Manfred Gröber, Solution Sales Microsoft Österreich GmbH, informing the seminar participants on Microsoft Business Intelligence, in particular on Microsoft BI Tools: from SQL Server 2005 through Office 2007 to Office Performance Point Server 2007. Throughout the presentation, Mr.Gröber has pointed to the existent gap between perceived and factual capabilities of SQL Server 2005 and has briefed the audience on selected functionality aspects of Microsoft Business Intelligence Tools.
The third section opened by Mag. Alexander Gebath, introduced the highlight of the seminar’s program – live presentation of "dot" product by actinium, designed to speed up data warehouse development. The speaker has singled out the core advantages of the above mentioned Business Intelligence Lifecycle Tool, paying close attention to its ability to considerably shorten the development time and decrease associated costs as well as minimize dependence from know-how providers through integrated intelligence.
