GASPARILLA PAGEANT WINNERS ANNOUNCED!

GasparillaPageant.com - The Tampa Pageant crowned winners from a field of over 70 contestants in 11 age divisions from babies to Mrs.

Pictured at an after party celebration at Gaspar's are Miss Gasparilla 2007, Heather Anderson, Rachel Melendez, Mrs. Gasparilla 2007 and Ms. Gasparilla, Bethany Baugh. Along with the Teen winner, Kayla Violette, these ladies will represent Gasparilla and Tampa Bay in events throughout the year.

"The Pageant was a huge success! The judges had their work cut out for them!" said Stephanie Sims, Director for Miss Gasparilla and FloridaStarYSA.com, a new pageant web site. Judges included Royalty from the Miss USA system, News anchor Wendy Ryan from Channel 28, and Melissa McGhee of American Idol fame, among others.

This event was important, as it is the first ever Gasparilla Pageant in over 100 years. The fact that it features older contestants (the Ms. and Mrs. Divisions) is unique, as well.
