LONDON (February 1, 2007) – The 3rdi mobile security system has won the ‘New Concept’ category in this year’s Mustard.uk.com Gold Awards. The system which allows users to keep an eye on their possessions via their mobile phone beat off over 100 firms from the West Midlands area to win this coveted prize.“This award is a glowing endorsement of how far we have come and will undoubtedly offer increased credibility of our product range to new and existing companies. Bringing something new into the marketplace is never easy and we will always be indebted to the expert advice and support we received at a delicate stage of our development,” commented Paul Rogerson, CEO, 3rdi.
“The Awards have been the biggest and best yet and a perfect way to highlight the entrepreneurial talent readily on display in all areas of the West Midlands,” commented Kul Sanghera, Project Director at Mustard.uk.com. “The Black Country, in particular, has been a rising star of the scene for some years and has successfully managed to combine its traditional heartland with a host of new industries that will offer job creation and high value employment. Our winners have demonstrated this perfectly, having turned innovative ideas into commercial reality through sustained sales and good business acumen.”
The 3rdi security system, recently featured on ITV’s This Morning programme, is based on a small camera that can be positioned anywhere to watch over anything that you value around the home, in the garage or even in the car. Once the camera is in position, you can view live footage of your possessions whenever and from wherever you want via your mobile phone.
The system also works when you are not watching the camera. Using infrared and motion sensors, the camera detects when an intruder has entered your home and the 3rdi control centre immediately sends a text message alert to your mobile phone. You can then access a recording of the event that set the camera off or view the location in real-time. Images are stored at the 3rdi control centre for up to 30 days, so if the mobile phone is switched off when the alert is sent, footage of the event is still available.
Held at the Renaissance Hotel in Solihull, the Mustard Held at the Renaissance Hotel in Solihull, the Mustard Gold Awards recognise and celebrate some of the finest entrepreneurs in the West Midlands, with keynote addresses by business personality Gerald Ratner and Advantage West Midlands Chairman Nick Paul on the opportunities facing the region.
