New Dilatazione Album Officially Released

Perth, Western Australia and Florence, Italy January 28th, 2007. The Australian digital music label, Hidden Shoal Recordings, today announced the official release of “Too Emotional for Maths”, by one of Italy’s finest post rock outfits, Dilatazione.

“Too Emotional for Maths”, is a rhythmically dense and intricately melodic piece of cinematic rock. The album constructs a flexing, woven city of sound from muscle and light. Guitars and drums tumble perfectly in and out of each other leaving new shapes in their wake.

Through its initial pre-release and the bands electric live performances the album has generated a huge underground buzz and received a raft of glowing reviews.

“Too Emotional for Maths” was recorded and mixed in September 2005 at Alpha Dept Studio in Bologna, Italy by Amaury Cambuzat (Ulan Bator/ Faust) and Francesco Donadello (Giardini di Miro’).

Over the last two years Dilatazione have gathered a large European fan base and a trail of glowing reviews for their live performances playing at such European and international festivals as Sete sois sete luas, No Silenz Fest, Cinema Blast, Rockcalvi.

In a cross hemisphere collaboration, Hidden Shoal Recordings have partnered with Italian label, Slowmotionpinguino to give “Too Emotional for Maths” physical release in Europe and worldwide digital release.
