January 25, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Health News
Frazee Nuclear (The Frazee Group, LLC) a national provider of Accreditation Consulting services for Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and PET facilities announced today that FrazeeNuclear.com is prepared to meet the tremendous demand of providers rushing to meet the United Healthcare Group’s recent mandate for all freestanding Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology and PET facilities to become accredited by March 1, 2008. “That’s an enormous charge for Cardiology offices that have not yet begun to gear up for the unwieldy but highly valuable process of ICANL accreditation.” stated Mr. David Frazee, President of Frazee Nuclear, based out of Cleveland, Ohio. “March 2008 is only one year away and it often takes between 6 to 9 months to complete the process correctly. This is not something that should be taken lightly and rushed through quickly.”
The Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Laboratories (ICANL) is one of the organizations that has been selected by United Healthcare to facilitate the accreditation for its network of contracted physicians who perform Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and PET in freestanding imaging facilities.
The ICANL is sponsored and supported by numerous organizations including the Society of Nuclear Medicine and The American Society of Nuclear Cardiologists, and has long served as the leader for promoting high quality imaging through a peer review process. In fact, 2007 marks the ICANL’s, tenth year of providing accreditation to the nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiology, and the PET communities.
“By successfully navigating through the ICANL accreditation process” Frazee stated, “it provides an excellent opportunity for labs to demonstrate that they are truly dedicated to providing only the highest quality care to their patients.”
“As the rush begins for labs to become accredited by the 2008 deadline, FrazeeNuclear.com is fully committed to assist these Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and PET labs, which are in jeopardy of losing reimbursement if not accredited by the March 1, 2008 deadline. Frazee Nuclear will add enough trained and experienced technical staff to meet the rapidly growing needs which are forthcoming.” stated Frazee, " in addition we will offer preferential fast track treatment and a 20% discount to all United Healthcare Group service providers who contract for ICANL assistance through FrazeeNuclear.com by March 31, 2007. I don’t want to see any lab that is at least making the initiative, lose reimbursement for not making the March 1, 2008 deadline!”
Frazee Nuclear is in the in the final process of inking an agreement to market and promote a brand new, web-based software package that will streamline data collection for ICANL accreditation and assure complete compliance for ICANL re-accreditation. “It can even replace transcription, which translates to savings money immediately” says Frazee, “Details on this absolutely must-see program will be forthcoming in the just next few weeks, but I predict it will completely re-invent the way Nuclear Cardiology offices operate”
