As data demands increase, the trend today is for cables and connectivity-related products to become smaller, and installations and equipment to become increasingly dense – all of which can have a negative impact on network performance. Belden 10GX Small Diameter Cables

This cable series is an evolution to Belden’s 10GX Cable. The new cables are designed to deliver superb mechanical and electrical performance, while offering a small diameter (.295 in), and a flexible construction for faster, easier installation in high-density environments. The 4-pair, 23 AWG UTP copper cables are available in CMR, CMP and LSZH versions, and in both Bonded-Pair and Non-bonded pair designs. They are intended for use in horizontal cable installations in data centers, high speed LANs, server farms, storage area networks (SANs), network access nodes (NANs), campus backbones, metropolitan area networks (MANs) and short distance backbone connections. The series incorporates Belden’s exclusive RoundFleX technology which provides better control of electrical performance through improved positioning of the pairs. The resulting level of Alien Crosstalk suppression is fully compatible with Belden’s guaranteed performance specifications for its 10GX systems.

High-density Modular Racking System

This sturdy and exceptionally versatile racking system has been carefully designed and engineered to facilitate high-density installations that optimize system performance and manageability. The system offers a total of 54 components – all completely compatible with Belden’s current cable management products. Basic and optional components include: four vertical manager styles; horizontal cable managers; cable retainer bar; removable doors; retention gates; and high-density finger options. The High-density Modular Racking System provides unprecedented levels of flexibility and versatility, allowing users to configure the components precisely to the specific requirements of their installation – and to change or modify the configuration quickly and easily as the network grows and evolves.

Belden High-density Open Frame Enclosure

The ruggedly constructed High-density Open Frame Enclosure is perfectly suited to host dense cross-connect fields, large servers, switches and routers. Its open frame design enables easy access to equipment and cables, with no external post obstructions typically found in standard enclosures. Both front and rear doors are perforated to provide an 80 percent opening, facilitating the flow of air through the enclosure for efficient cooling of equipment and avoidance of heat build-up. (Rear doors can also be equipped with high capacity fans if cooling equipment requires forced air.) The unit’s optimized footprint (30-in wide x 43-in deep) complies with the TIA-942 recommendation, enabling mounting of deep equipment. Designed for flexibility, the Open Frame Enclosure offers multiple cable options, routing channel options and power distribution mounting options.

Belden Ultra High-density (UHDPP) 48-Port 1U Patch Panels

Belden’s Ultra High-density 48-Port 1U Patch Panels combine unsurpassed density with high performance. While standard 48-port patch panels require 2 units (2U) of rack space, Belden’s UHDPP patch panel fits into a 1U space, providing double the port density. And, when used with Belden’s High-density Modular Racking System, the UHDPP delivers four times the density of standard patch panels. The UHDPP are available for Cat 5E, Cat 6 and Cat 6A and are ideal for data centers, equipment distribution areas (TIA-942 Standard) and other high throughput environments.
