ATLANTA – The Weather Channel Mobile today announced the launch of traffic data on its mobile Web site, which can be viewed through major wireless provider mobile portals and by entering weather.com into a mobile browser. The service will include traffic data for 24 metros areas and will feature traffic speed overview maps, incident level reports and incident mapping. This latest upgrade to The Weather Channel Mobile Web site also includes the addition of hourly forecasts which include temperature, short weather statements, weather icons and precipitation chance. Other features of the free, ad-supported service include local and national severe weather alerts, airport delays and weather data in Spanish.
