Alex's Coupons Donates $1000.00 to Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation

GIG HARBOR, WA - April 5, 2005 — Alex's Coupons, (www.alexscoupons.com) a website devoted to providing the latest deals and coupons to consumers, recently donated one thousand dollars to Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation at the annual "Connecting the Stars" luncheon held at the Grand Hyatt in Seattle Washington on February 11, 2005.

Alex's Coupons was launched by Todd & Andrea Martini in October 1999. The inspiration for the site was their daughter Alexandra, who was diagnosed with Leukemia in November 1998 at the age of 10 months. In September 1999 the Martini family relocated cross-country to Durham NC, so Alex could undergo a lifesaving Cord Blood Transplant. During that time the Martinis' financial situation was very precarious. At the suggestion of a friend, Todd Martini started Affiliates for Alex, a collection of affiliate links designed to raise money for Alex's transplant. This website would later evolve into Alex's Coupons. Over the last six years Alex's Coupons has provided coupons and deals to millions of consumers, while educating them about Childhood Cancer.

In addition to Alex's Coupons, the Martinis are very involved in activism and fundraising on behalf of several organizations, including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Starlight Starbright. Alex's Coupons co-founder Andrea Martini spoke at the "Connecting the Stars" luncheon and described Alex's struggles and successes in fighting Cancer for the last six years, and how Starlight Starbright has brought a great deal of happiness to Alex and the entire Martini family.
