NAFRD Under New Management with NIADA

Arlington, TX—The National Association of Fleet Resale Dealers has selected the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association as the new management company to help provide the framework for the revitalization and growth of NAFRD. NIADA effectively became NAFRD's management company on January 1, 2007. This new management will set NAFRD on a fresh path for 2007 while maintaining the association's mission of maximizing client yields, increasing quality and services, and actively developing new domestic and international partners.

NAFRD President Jeff Dodd said the decision was made to seek new management in an effort to help the association's growth. "We feel this is a very strategic move for NAFRD and the association’s future," said Dodd. "NIADA is a 61 year old institution with an excellent reputation in the Used Motor Vehicle Industry and we feel this is a natural fit for both organizations."

"NIADA has been a leader in setting standards for the Used Motor Vehicle Industry," said Mike Linn, NIADA Executive Vice President/CEO. "We'll use our skills and resources to further the advancement of NAFRD bringing them a new level of growth along with increased national and international recognition." Among its many objectives, NIADA has plans to boost NAFRD's membership, improve convention scheduling and quality of speakers, and development of the association's trade show.

The NIADA staff is currently planning the NAFRD 2007 Convention scheduled for October 4-7 in San Antonio, Texas, at the Hotel Valencia Riverwalk. Plans have also begun for the development of the new NAFRD e-newsletter. Content will be aimed at keeping members in tune with association activities and will formally keep members aware of crucial industry developments.
