Following a successful launch of their printed game formats, Innuendo are looking to offer licensing to board game and other manufacturers to produce versions of their Shendoku™ and FindYour9™ products, as well as a range of derivative games. Innuendo have spent the past year creating a range of formats, some of which are now being offered to TV Game Show companies for consideration.
The original game, SHENDOKU, which is now being published in three languages, was joined by Find Your 9 or "FY9" late last year. This new derivative game is aimed squarely at the younger market, with both home and educators versions being made available at launch.
The aim of the project is to encourage game play and in particular to change the popular puzzle Sudoku into a more sociable game - thereby taking a solo pursuit and making it into a social one.
To support this, a range of games has been devised that can be produced as stand alone games, compendium games, or as merchandising to support the TV formats. Initially there are three board game options, one for Shendoku and two for FY9. Other new games that share the grid format are also included in a compendium package. At the time of going to press, all are available for licensing.
Further development led to the design and patenting of a range of nine faceted dice, and with the inclusion of a licensing arrangement for the only pre-existing nine sided gaming die, the team have secured the only options for dice games involving sudoku grids and the numbers 1-9.
In developing these dice, further game derivatives were discovered, including a Yahtzee style game for the 21st century. The game is in final development and licensing options are available.
Naturally the team looked at playing cards, and finding that there are no 81 card packs on the market, set about designing and protecting a "shendoku" pack of 81 cards in nine suits of a distinctive and original style. Design rights have been filed for both the European and Asian versions and both are now available to licence by card manufacturers.
Manufacturers, distributors and other interested parties are being asked to contact Innuendo through the dedicated shendoku email address shown below.
Contact from TV production companies are also welcome.
