London: Euro Satellite, a specialist in business and satellite TV and data communications has today announced a partnership with network IPTV provider Exterity. Working together, the two companies will launch an initiative to enable City-based businesses to upgrade their traditional RF satellite distribution system with a corporate IPTV solution. Using Exterity’s entire product portfolio Euro Satellite customers will have access to SKY, Freeview and all AV content via their corporate network. “Many of our clients are city-based banks and trading establishments who need access to desktop-based TV to do their job properly. These companies have traditionally used RF satellite distribution systems, which are cumbersome and limited,” explained Ian Reece, Euro Satellite. “Exterity’s solution allows us to give customers the flexibility to deliver any media, to any end point using an existing IP infrastructure.”
Exterity’s head-end, encoder and decoder products are easy to manage, future proof and cost-effective and will enable Euro Satellite to deliver IP-based TV and media distribution to any end point including PCs and plasma screens.
“Euro Satellite is an established company with a fantastic reputation and customer-base within in the City,” commented Colin Farquhar, CEO, Exterity. “The partnership will give them the opportunity to upgrade existing customers to IP and to broaden their traditional reach by offering new and exciting services.”
Exterity will provide Euro Satellite with ongoing sales support, product training and marketing support.
