BALTIMORE - Codign Software today announced the general availability of CoViewDeveloper 2.3 and CoViewManager 2.3, a multi-view Eclipse plug-in that helps build JUnit tests and measures coverage and JUnit metrics.

CoViewDeveloper helps Java engineers build better JUnit tests through its wizards and code analysis by focusing on the code's data and logic flow and reporing path coverage. CoViewManager collects and reports on numerous metrics including cyclomatic complexity, branch coverage and the number of contributing tests. For commercial users, CoViewDeveloper is $99/year/user and CoViewManager is $199/year/user with bundled discounts available. For Open Source committers and Higher Education, Codign Software offers all of its products for free.

"We are constantly spending time with our customers to find out in detail what they like and dislike about the product,"says John Miller, CTO and co-founder of Codign Software. "We have gotten some great feedback and tried to implement as many of the requests as possible in the latest release "

"Coview has always made it easy to create a set of unit tests "says Miller, " but what we were hearing from our customers was that they needed help going beyond those initial tests. CoView 2.3 addresses these concerns and allows users to build on top of their existing test suite to increase path and branch coverage. With our streamlined user interface, one-click coverage and use of wizards, our customers can easily and cost-effectively create JUnit tests."

CoViewDeveloper and CoViewManager supports Eclipse 3.1& 3.2, JDK 1.4 & 5, and JUnit 3 & 4. Additionally, CoViewDeveloper assists with the design and development of DbUnit and HTTPUnit tests.
