OCEAN 98.1 WOCM PRESENTS THE 2ND ANNUAL OCEAN 98 IDOL SINGING CONTEST

OCEAN CITY, MD: Ocean 98.1 WOCM announces its 2nd Annual Ocean 98 Idol, a singing contest, at Seacrets nightclub in Ocean City, Maryland. The event will take place on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 beginning at 8pm. The contest is for two tickets to the 49th Annual Grammy Awards, being held in Los Angeles, California on February 11, 2007. Prize includes round trip airfare and accommodations for two people for two nights/three days.

Contestants will be required to sing a capella in front of a panel of celebrity judges and audience members. Each contestant will be judged on stage presence, song selection and voice. The best performance will win. The contest is free to enter but those wanting to participate must be 21 years of age. Only 50 people will be allowed to participate. Those interested in being a contestant may pre-register by emailing their full name, address, phone number and date of birth to Events@irieradio.com. There will be open registration the evening of the event between 6:30pm and 7:30pm at Seacrets nightclub.

Runner-ups from the contest and three random audience members will each receive tickets to see Season 5 American Idol winner, Taylor Hicks, in concert at Rams Head Tavern Live in Baltimore. You must be present to win.
