Thompson & Knight Attorney Named to the Texas Lyceum Association's 2007 Board of Directors

The international law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP is pleased to announce that Nancy A. Shellhorse has been named to the Texas Lyceum Association’s Class of 2007 Board of Directors. Her three-year term begins immediately.

The Texas Lyceum Association Directors and Alumni annually nominate individuals to be elected as Directors for three-year terms. Candidates are reviewed by a Nominations Committee who present a slate of nominees that are voted on by the current Board of Directors. The new Class is chosen based on each individual’s demonstration of exemplary leadership qualities and consistent recognition in his or her own community for both professional achievement and civic contribution.

Shellhorse is Of Counsel in the Health Law Practice Group in the Firm’s Austin office. She focuses her practice on representing health care providers in federal and state administrative appeals, state regulatory enforcement actions, Medicaid fraud and recoupment matters, and workers’ compensation fee disputes. She has extensive trial experience and previously served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas in the Elder Law and Public Health Division.

The Texas Lyceum Association is a network of professionals who bring together diverse opinions and expertise to focus on national and state issues and seek to emphasize constructive private sector, public sector, and individual responses to the issues. The Board of Directors is comprised of 96 men and women from across the state of Texas.
