Pets and Baby Photo Galleries from ArcaMax Publishing

Proud parents and pet owners — and the millions of "shutterbugs" out there — now have a new place to show their photos to the world: the ArcaMax Cats & Dogs and Parents channels.

Readers who submit their photos can immediately see their uploaded pictures in online galleries and are able to show them off to family and friends with a forward your picture function. ArcaMax has also added a "Vote for this Picture" function that keeps a running tally of the most popular photos each month.

The baby photo gallery ( http://www.arcamax.com/parents/gallery ) features photos of readers' children, which can be submitted easily using a form on the site. Readers supply a caption to make their photo searchable among hundreds of other pictures.

The pet photo gallery ( http://www.arcamax.com/catsanddogs/gallery ) works the same way, but has an added feature: the ability to search photos by breed. Dozens of cat and dog breeds are available to choose from to help the reader who could be looking for a friend's photo with limited information, or just interested in a certain breed.

ArcaMax editors choose two reader-submitted photos every day to run in the Parents and Cats & Dogs ezines. Readers can also vote on their favorite photos; the top six are featured on the main page of each section ( http://www.arcamax.com/parents or http://www.arcamax.com/catsanddogs ). Proud parents or even grandparents, as well as pet owners, can get their photos as prints or on mugs, as well — thanks to channel sponsors.
