Scott Harvey Opens Wine Tasting Room in California Gold Country

St. Helena, CA. Scott Harvey Winery, www.scottharveywines.com featuring wines from Amador County and Napa Valley, has opened a tasting room in the center of Sutter Creek on Eureka St.

Amador is home to approximately 22 wineries sprinkled throughout the county. More wineries are opening tasting rooms in popular tourist destinations. The Scott Harvey tasting room is the second tasting venue to operate in this historic town, known more for its gold mining history. Harvey’s daughter, Paulette Harvey Williams, will be there to welcome the visitors and manage day to day operations.

“We’re thrilled to be here and add to the area’s wine scene,” said Harvey. “It’s a plus to have my daughter involved in the business.” The opening of this tasting room marks a major step forward for Scott Harvey Wines. This outlet will be a great opportunity to introduce consumers to the new Scott Harvey portfolio of wines. Scott was one of the early leaders of the Amador appellation. After leaving in 1996 to be winemaker and President of Folie a Deux in Napa Valley, this marks Harvey’s triumphant return to the region. Tasters will not only have an opportunity to sample regional varietals such as Barbera, Zinfandel, and Syrah but also wines from Napa Valley under the “Jana” brand.

Located in a 100 year old home from the gold rush era, the Scott Harvey Tasting Room exudes the warmth and allure of the area. Visitors are drawn by both history and small town charm.
