Starlight Cinema's Pittwater season opens with Little Miss Sunshine

Sydney, Australia, 10 January 2006 — One of the best things about a Sydney summer is watching the latest and greatest movies under the stars. This summer, Starlight Cinema has expanded to the Northern Beaches. So come and watch the latest and greatest movies under the Pittwater stars!The Pittwater season at Pittwater Rugby Park (RAT Park), Warriewood opens with Toni Collette's smash hit, Little Miss Sunshine on 17 January 2007. The line up includes blockbusters The Departed and Kenny, family favourite Charlotte's Web, surf movie Riding Giants, and for those in love, The Devil Wears Prada. The Pittwater season runs until Sunday 28 January.

Surf on the Turf - The Northern Beaches is the home of great waves, surfing culture and Aussie bands. What better way to celebrate this move than to include popular surf films in the movie line up! Starlight Cinema in association with Tim Bonython Productions presents Surf on the Turf on 21, 26 & 28 January 2007. Films include Rip Curl Pro Search Mexico 2006 (M), Mick, Myself and Eugene (M), and Riding Giants (M). Live music with The Fumes, PICO'S Crow Feather, Tokenview and Josh Boots.
Australia Day - Join in the celebration of Australia Day with Aussie movies and bands. That's Surfing - A History of Australian Surfing by Graham McNeice (G) and Tim Bonython's Wild Australia (G). Live music from Delightful Rain artists - Beau Young and the Dan Rumour Band.
In the Star Class VIP area, chill out in a deck chair, enjoy a hamper and waiter service under a sea of stars. The alfresco dining offers the quintessential summer barbeque with Hungerford Hill wines, Bluetongue Beer and Grinders Coffee.
Bring a blanket, hire a backrest or sit in one of the covered stands, with the gates and dining open from 7pm each night. Tickets are available online for $15 or from the gate each night for $20.
Starlight Cinema North Sydney season runs Wednesday 7 February to Sunday 4 March. The season includes blockbusters The Departed and Kenny, family favourites Charlotte's Web and Eragon, cults The Princess Bride and Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and for those in love, Volver and A Good Year.
Starlight is the biggest and best outdoor cinema for those living and working on Sydney's North Shore (and those brave enough to cross the bridge)! It caters for everyone who loves doing it under the stars!
