Follow-Me.ca Officially Launched

Follow-Me.ca is a local start-up in the Kitchener/Waterloo area. The idea behind the site is that a company can track their employees, anywhere in the world from a simple online control panel. No software to download, no heavy system requirements, no large up-front costs. Whether it's a courier company's dispatcher, a cab companies dispatcher, or a company that has sales people hitting the road on a daily basis, you know where they are at all times.

Utilizing all of the latest web and mobile technologies knowing where your employees are is a snap.

Follow-Me.ca was created by two man team, and has been in development for the past 8 months. Much testing and research was done to get everything to work just right. Because the entire system is run online there were many different obstacles to overcome, such as trying to determine if the mobile device is compatible with the system, or if the network can handle all the traffic.

As they brand new start-up they only in stage one of their release, and have many more ideas that they plan to begin developing in the very near future to make their company model much stronger.

Follow-me.ca is targeting small to medium sized businesses, but to successfully gather this market, they had to create a solution that was simple, scalable, and cost effective, and they done just that. By keeping the registration free and allowing decision makers access to browse their control panel, there is a strong desire to start adding employees, and begin using Follow-Me to it's fullest potential.

Greg heads a small local courier business. With 8 employees on the road, he uses Follow-me.ca to keep track of all his couriers in the Toronto region. He is then able to quickly determine who is best suited to pick up packages based on their proximity to the client.

Fred runs medical supplies to local hospitals. He uses Follow-Me.ca to re-route his employees based on changing delivery schedules. Using Follow-Me.ca he was able to optimize the pick-ups and deliveries, and can now handle 25% more calls with the same amount of employees.

Greg, after reviewing the daily schedule of some of his employees, was able to determine that one of his drivers was able to do a particular area of a certain route in less time than another, and was able to change the different couriers deliveries accordingly.

Using their go-back-in-time feature is a great tool. Just select the employee, and the day you wish to see, and Follow-Me will quickly render a detailed map of their locations at different times during their day. This way you can see if they were efficient in the routing, and review their decisions to enhance the effectiveness of your drivers. The possibilities are endless!
