IMPORTANT CRS-38 DEADLINES APPROACHING

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 7, 2006) — Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. reminds attendees that certain CRS-38 deadlines are quickly approaching. Advance Rate registration and submissions for the 2007 Radio Humanitarian Awards and Radio Promotion Award are due by January 12, 2007.The special Advance Rate Offer is only $530 if received by January 12. The regular rate, received by Feb 2, 2007, will be $605 and the on-site rate, received after February 2, 2007 will be $655.
The Radio Humanitarian Award is presented to full time country radio stations for their efforts to improve the quality of life for the communities they serve. The 2007 Award will be presented to stations in Large (markets 1-50), Medium (markets 51-130), and Small (markets 131+) categories for public service performed between November 1, 2005 and December 31, 2006. Stations interested in being considered for this award should submit five copies of a brief written presentation (two pages maximum) summarizing the details of the station's community service carried out during the eligible time period. The awards will be presented during the opening ceremonies of the 38th Annual Country Radio Seminar on Thursday, March 1, 2007. All submissions should be emailed to humanitarian@crb.org.
The 2007 Radio Promotion Award is a chance for stations to submit their best Country Radio promotion from the past year and win a trip to CRS-38 in February. The winner in each category of Small, Medium and Large markets will be provided a trip to CRS-38, including airfare up to $500, hotel accommodations and registration to CRS. The promotion must have run on a full-time Country Radio station sometime between November 1, 2005 and December 31, 2006.
Entrants should submit a one-page summary of the promotion which outlines the goals set for the promotion, how it was a winner for the station, clients and listeners, and why the promotion was deemed successful. Other materials such as videos or photos will be accepted. The judges will consider creativity, implementation strategy, the effect on cume (if measured), the goals achieved, and the professional style of your submission. Entries for the promotion award will be featured in the CRS-38 Radio Promotion Book. All submissions should be emailed in PDF format to promotions@crb.org.
