January 1, 2006 (Litchfield, CT): Fresh on the heels of the launch of Registrant.org, The Happy Media Network (www.happymedia.com) today announced the publication of Greetings from Astoria, the first volume of The Network's Choragus (www.choragus.com) book imprint. The jacket copy of the glossy perfect-bound paperback suggests that Greetings from Astoria is a “must read for anyone who is in the internet business, working for a non-profit, naming a company, or on a golf course.”, and invites the reader to “sit around the campfire and listen to this song for staying up late, looking for the next big thing.”
Drawing on source material from the previously untapped Happy Media Network Archives, Greetings from Astoria is a serious but funny collection of briefs and essays that look at life, business, community stewardship, corporate naming, electronic real estate, internship programs, and golf through a uniquely readable voice.
The first Volume of Choragus is also intended to celebrate Happy Media’s rapidly approaching 10th Birthday. "I don’t care if you read this book," says the author (and Happy Media Executive Director), A.M. Sherwin, "But do buy it. It helps support our extensive community work."
Greetings from Astoria will be initially available online at Book Farm (www.bookfarm.com). On or about Groundhog Day, Greetings from Astoria is set to be available in select bookstores.
