(Chicago, December xx, 2006) – Peter Bosy has joined Harrington College of Design as a full-time instructor in the Digital Photography Program to teach digital photography and studio lighting.“Student enrollment has quadrupled since the Digital Photography program launched in May 2004,” said Dirk Fletcher, department chair for Harrington’s Digital Photography Program. “This has resulted in the need for additional experienced professionals to share real-world knowledge with our students. Bosy’s success as a studio owner provides such real work experience,” he added.
During Bosy’s two decades of commercial photography as owner of Peter Bosy Photography, Inc., he produced images for clients such as Ameritech, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Citibank, Fuji Photo Film USA, Hyatt Hotels, Illinois Tool Works, Motorola, and Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.
In addition to gallery shows in the western suburbs, he has garnered numerous awards including the Design Excellence Award from Print’s Regional Design Annual for photography featured in an Illinois Tool Works Annual Report; and the prestigious National Addy Award from the American Advertising Federation, for photography featured in a print brochure: 15th Anniversary Book of Gordon Restaurant.
“Learning and applying new technologies – film to digital – has been an interesting transition and one that I enjoy sharing with my students,” Bosy said. “In any media, a critical eye and lighting are still key in creating a quality photograph.”
Bosy received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Photo & Film from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is currently earning a Master of Arts in Photography Degree from Governors State University in University Park.
