The American Dream National Pageant Announces the New England Delegate…Mrs. Gina Starks.

Mrs. Starks was selected, due in most part, to her determination and efforts in raising awareness of an extremely rare lung disease, Fibrosing Mediastinitis (FM).

"Since my diagnosis, my mission has been to raise awareness of this disease so that my family and others like us can finally get answers to the many questions we have about this disease." Says Mrs. Starks.

She wanted to raise awareness on a national level, but how was she going to accomplish that? Entry into the pageant world provided the possibility to voice her concerns on a national level. She is hopeful that her involvement in the American Dream Pageant, along with her desire and spirit, will provide a platform for others to become aware of this rare disease.

"Being an American Dream Queen can and should make a difference in the lives of thousands.

I am so excited and honored to have been selected to represent New England as “Mrs. New England American Dream 2007”. I would like to thank my loving and supportive family and I offer my most sincere and deepest gratitude to my State Director, Callie Grippo, for her support of my efforts!" Mrs. Starks Said.
