Nashville Recording Artist LynnMarie Receives Fourth Grammy Nomination

Party Dress Earns Nomination For Best Polka AlbumNASHVILLE, Tenn.— Nashville recording artist LynnMarie has been nominated for a GRAMMY in the category of Best Polka Album for her album Party Dress. The announcement was made today at a press conference in Hollywood, CA. This marks LynnMarie's fourth GRAMMY nomination in this category. She is the only female to have ever received this honor, and a win would make her the first female to take the category in the history of the GRAMMY Awards.
On receiving the nomination, LynnMarie said, "I am so honored and excited to receive this nomination. Thank you to NARAS for continuing to recognize polka music, and to the Nashville music industry for your support. And as always, my sincere thanks to the fans and people involved in the polka community."
Party Dress, her 14th album, was released in June 2006. LynnMarie was previously nominated for her 2003 CD LynnMarie + The Boxhounds, The Polka Record in 2002 and SqueezeBox in 2000. Party Dress was produced by Nashville guitarist and band-leader Charlie Kelley. It features a duet with the legendary Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel.
The 49th GRAMMY Awards will air live from the Los Angeles STAPLES Center on February 11, 2007 on CBS.
