Michigan Entrepreneur is a weekly television talk show featuring businesses from start-up to stellar. The program for the Week of December 25, 2006 features Dr. Nancy Fishman and Susan Goodell of Forgotten Harvest. They discuss Forgotten Harvest and it’s mission to fight hunger and waste.
Dr. Nancy Fishman founded this organization in 1990 and Susan Goodell has served as the executive director for the past 6 years. Currently, Forgotten Harvest rescues over 8.5 million pounds of food per year by collecting surplus foods from grocery stores, restaurants, caterers, dairies, farmers and wholesale food distributors, and then donates this food, free of charge, to various emergency food providers in the metropolitan Detroit area.
